LMSW (Virginia) · Individual therapy for adults

Understand the patterns, build practical skills, and move at your own pace.

I work with adults navigating PTSD/C-PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, and substance use disorders. My priority is a respectful, nonjudgmental relationship where you can speak openly, feel heard, and help shape the direction of our work.

My experience supporting people with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions informs how I understand the connections between trauma and addiction. Together, we can explore what is contributing to your distress, recognize your strengths, and develop coping strategies that fit your life.

DBT and EMDR

My approach draws on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and polyvagal-informed Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). DBT skills can support managing intense emotions, responding to distress, and navigating relationships. We will discuss how these approaches may fit your goals and work at a pace that feels manageable.

My EMDR training certificate is expected in December. I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness techniques within a person-centered, strengths-based approach.

Education and licensure

I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). I am licensed as an LMSW in Virginia only and am pursuing LCSW licensure.
